SUN PACK (Hybrid Home UPS)

SUN PACK is a solar hybrid inverter which utilizes both the Solar power and Grid power to charge the batteries. Solar power given first priority while charging. This means that when Solar power is available, the batteries will be charged with it only, irrespective of whether Grid power is available or not. It is designed to give you the maximum advantages from the Sun and thereby saving on your electricity costs.

SUN PACK is very easy to install. It is a clean and economic way to help you get through load shedding.

Preference to Solar Power over Grid power

SUN PACK gives first priority to Solar power over Grid power during charging. This means that when Solar power is available, the batteries will be charged through Solar Power whether Grid Power is available or not. It switches to Grid power for charging only when Solar Power is unavailable. This helps to reduce electricity costs as well as being environmentally friendly.

Can operate without Solar Panel also

SUN PACK can be operated with or without a Solar Panel. The SUN PACK inverter can be used as a regular inverter if no Solar Panels are attached. One can upgrade and add Solar Panels at a later stage.

Any battery option

The SUN PACK inverter has an intelligent feature to recognize the type of battery connected to it. May it be used with an ordinary car battery, a tubular battery or a sealed one, AGM, Deep-cycle or Gel types. The inverter will automatically adjust to the battery.s charging characteristics. When choosing a battery, one needs to take into consideration battery capacity, expected battery life, battery price and battery maintenance requirements.

Extensive electronic protections

There are a number of protections that the SUN PACK ensures. It stops reverse current flow from battery to solar array, it provides load short circuit protection, it provides Battery/Panel reverse protection through DC fuse and Overload protection as well. [Top]

Battery Health For Longer Life

The SUN PACK feeds the battery installed to it a constant boost charging current until its voltage reaches 14.2V and the float current (which is very close to zero) then maintains this voltage above 13V. Thus reducing the float current ( flowing for the longest period during the entire process) to zero, ultimately resulting in much enhanced battery life keeping it fully charged simultaneously. [Top]
